We land on a solid rock and wood-top station – now peaceful, this station houses a clacking mass of skiers in winter.
Pure mountain air and Emerald Lakes
Breathe in the fresh mountain air, we are on our way.Carpets of flowers around us. Gentle cows graze on the alpine grasses – serenaded us with a merry jingle of bells. Hiking here is so refreshing.
A winding road leads us through the hills of the moraine, now in a beautiful green, wrapped to the edge of a stunningly beautiful emerald green lake. The surrounding mountains are reflected on its surface.
We make a brief stop to admire this natural treasure. Some of our group walks around the lake – other lay back and enjoy theSerenity.

Our route continues along a valley, bordered by tall snow-capped peaks. Beautiful rhododendrons are a lovely rolling heath. We tramp through a small snowfield – the coolness beneath the feet is in contrast to the glorious warmth of the alpine SO
We spy a pile of stones in advance with the familiar red and white lane marking painted on one of the rocks. Rounding a corner we spot our lunch destination in the distance – a sound Berghausfrom the surrounding rock.
Lunch on the sun terrace
